Forehand and backhand...

Aaah...the week has started again! and not on a bad note either! i'm feeling pretty shagged now...prob cos i played tennis today! yay!!! it's been ages since i've played that game! so today, me played a game with fara! of coure, we both totally sucked! hahaha... we practically did more ball-chasing than actually hitting the damn ball! but , towards the end, we did manage to rally a bit, eh fara? =)

so there was the st. nicks team who was playing at the court next to ours. it kinda reminded me of my own tennis days back in tk! like so many memories come flooding in! of course, we didn't really really play tennis. we merely did forehand and backhand, and talked and talked...and played a wonderful game of baseball tennis! ooo! there was volleyball tennis too! hey! we were in recre...so no big deal! haha... i missed it all! and how we totaly slacked off to mac d's after practice to gain back the pounds we lost during "warm-ups"! no matter where we played (we shifted a lot) be it east coast, kallang or bedok, there was always mac d's nearby to lure us into sloth and gluttony! (which by the way, as i was walking back home, a kid was furiously asking his dad "Daaadd...just tell me where did Macdonald's come from??" not interested to know how babies come from anymore, we want to know who is feeding us our daily staple now, eh kiddo? hmmm..makes sense to me!)

but despite all that those fun times, i really did regret not taking more of an effort to learn the game! tennis is a great game! it's fun, and a good workout! but to hire a coach to teach is like super expensive! this kid who was playing at the court next next to us had this garang looking coach! wah...after every rally, do push up! i wanna learn to play it properly! without the running part! yeah...i just do not like running! running should just be banned.

well, if anyone wants to play a game! just give me a call! we can play doubles! or heck! if there's more people, we could actually play baseball tennis! aaah...now that's a game that should be official! ;o)

Breeze

phew...the week is coming to an end.. and I'm glad! i don't know why but i have been feeling pretty tired the past days! don't know why...could be all that travelling. or readings that needed to be done. as such, to keep alive, i've been drinking coffee. don't get me wrong now...i love, adore, have a beautiful relationship with coffee! that stuff works wonders on slow days and taste great too! but i'm afraid i'd be immune to the caffeine if i drink too much. it happened before, i don't want it to happen again!

so tutorials started this week, which were interesting. of course moving from class to class is no picnic..esp when i have one class in the engine block! augh! but i love the modules i'm doing! lots of food for thought to chew on.

well, this is the first day of the week where i feel i have nothing due. a wonderful evening with my "lost" and seth cohen! honestly, who doesn't love that guy?? and now i turn in early in peace... nights everyone!

Merayaping

I'm awake! The coffee i drank earlier is working too well at keeping my eyes open right now! which is quite bad as i have to get up early tomorrow morning! groan...ah well, just have to remember to not put my phone on silent mode again when i set the alarm!

tonight...or more like yesterday night, was pretty fun! had a nice time out with nadia, vul, weiq and shaf! ok...was supposed to watch dimsum dollies at like $4 a piece but it was all sold out! even when we came early! alas, the lecturer lied! well...actually no. we merely underestimated the will of the kiasu singaporean.

so we headed down to arab street instead...all the way to al-majlis and had good arab food to good arab music! we played "dumb" (there's a difference between dumb and checkers! i so didnt know!) talked and did many funny tricks with a sheesha! yes...you can do that! well, 5 pple and a sheesha can! hehe...and then we walked a bit. while nurul and shaf went home, the rest of us went to airport, had kopi and talked some more!

of course, got back home pretty late, which me mums wasnt too pleased abt! but it's been a long time since i've merayap*-ed really. sometimes it's really nice just walking and talking and not doing anything in particular really. now, i know how some parent's are absolutely against merayaping! my mom is one of them, that's for sure! but there's good merayaping and bad merayaping. bad is where u make a nuisance of yourself to others and well, just walk aimlessly. good merayaping is where you walk and wander, but u take in what u see and explore places! sometimes u appreciate an unknown place in Singapore... or the people you see around. and you find out about new shops! or new restraunts! so you see...merayaping is not really bad. of course, shouldn't do it all the time. but once in a while, it can be fun, thoughtful, and adventurous! so today, we merayaped to arab street! and i'm looking forward to my next merayaping adventure! so pple, go merayaping! another thing to do for an aimless teen in singapore! =D

another thing is to figure how this blog works! computer language...the only language we communicate with a machine! bah....

* merayap= malay for wandering around...something like that i think! hee

Whoops!

Okay... I guess I goofed again! Hee! Apparently, the tutorial registration thingy is NEXT week! I read the schedule...wrong again! Or more like I didn't read the fine print! So...basically I panicked for nothing! And probably freaked out a couple of my friends too! Sorry! Hee... =D

Today, sent Zara off at the airport. I'm gonna miss her! sigh...everyone is moving abroad! That's in total 7 pple I know who's either in Canada, Australia or the States! And to add, my cousins have just moved to Dubai! We're all branching out! Everyone's migrating! Moving! We're no longer keeping still! I wonder where I'll be ten years down the road.

I went for the MS welcome tea today...which wasn't so bad, though sadly I came in late because I had a lecture earlier on. Though I see many many familiar faces, it's hard to connect. Damn I should have gone for the camp! But then again i was working and couldn't go for the camp. Oh well, at least I tried! And shall try again! Positive positive thinking...la la la....

It wasn't a very good day today! One happy thing was that there was the milo van at central!!! dude! like i was just telling nat and mansi and all how i totally missed that van! haha... we should try to kidnap it one day. remember..i distract, u drive, meet at bedok!

the world is round!
what the heck am i writing abt today???

oh well! goodnite ladies and gentlemen!

Bridget, Archie And Me

It never fails to happen! You see, I should have at least seen it coming! I mean... here I was enjoying a wonderful weekend plus plus... great book sale, meeting good friends and enjoying wonderful company, having good food and good coffee, a pretty good 1st day of school (though my battle with the printers I could very well do without!) and having a few good laughs. I was pretty much feeling happy...like finally! After a series of stress! But noOooo.... it never fails to happen when you having things going good for you, something happens to screw up life again, adding more stress, worry and a few more white strands to my black crop!

As it so happens, I read the cors schedule wrong. Tutorial registration was yesterday and I missed it! Totally missed it! I thought it was scheduled to start on the 17th but noOooo....it was yesterday! Augh! What is wrong with me? Why does my brain register differently from what my eyes see?? Don't they like each other? Was there a fight between them I don't know about? This was unfortunately not the first time such a thing happened.

During that uni application month, I had put teaching as one of my choices in the NTU application form. So I was scheduled to have an interview on the 12th of May. I probably glanced at the letter and was somehow convinced that the interview was on the 14th! So when the 12th came and I was slacking away at home with my sister, a call came which luckily I was home to answer. A girl was speaking.

"This is so and so, calling from MOE. Are you coming for the interview scheduled at 3.45pm today?"
I was frantically searching for the letter in my drawer. "Isn't my interview scheduled to be on the 14th?" I said when my jaw literally dropped having read that letter again, "Oh wait no! The twelfth!" Heart plummeting.

The good girl said I could still come down as long as I make it there by 430pm. Which is basically an hour to dress, look presentable, collect my documents (with photocopies!) and get my ass down to MOE which is....far. Mind you, it wasn't a very pleasant experience. Took a quick shower, sis helping me to iron my clothes (so so grateful!), frantically getting documents and breaking a cardinal rule to interviews, stuffing them all into a paper bag...an M1 paper bag to boot. And running in my heels and putting my make-up in the cab. It was truly a Bridget's Jones moment. My sister thought so, I felt so. I made it in time, had a joke prepared for my tardiness, but never got to use it. SO you think this only happens in storybooks eh?

Well, round 1B is tomorrow. It isn't too late, but I probably wont have the timetable I hoped for! Darn! It was pretty perfect too! Monday Friday come home early! Bummer.

Wouldn't you think I'd learn from experience? Everybody else learns from experience! How come I never learn from experience? This coming from Archie! Go figure that Archie and I would be alike!
