Update So i realised i haven't written quite a bit lately in this tumbleweed-rolling blog of mine.
just to let you know...
i am still alive. only extremely busy.
i am still breathing. only more heavily now.
i am still broke. only surving on handouts.
i am still here. only not really. hee :)
dealing with a course with too many assignments and too little guidance, a weekly job where time crawls really slow, the PSLE (God! and i thought THAT was over!), a shrinking wardrobe (my sneakers were stolen!!! augh!!!), one messy unorganised room, a crisis over time and so much more.
wow. this is so different from last term. can i help it if i'm looking for a bit of familiarity? and not just one hour either. but a nice couple of hours of doing what was done before. la la la la la.... :)

It's just another manic Monday
only...it WASN'T a manic Monday for me!!! oh no siree! it was by far, my most time-wasting day i have ever had in my entire life! it even beats that time when i was watching Days of Our Lives after school in tk. (don't ask...just...dont.) right...
see, i was supposed to have an aki briefing at 10am in nus. it was made clear in the letter that is was compulsory. right, so i willingly dragged my feet off, took an hour and half long bus ride and arrived in school, at the lecture hall (though slightly late). juuust as i had taken my seat, the lecturer bounds up, declared that as there were too few of us because of the inauguration ceremony, there was no point in having the briefing. they will reschedule it...and inform us through email. great! just great! basically i had come alll the way to school...for absolutely nothing!!! nothing at all! the speech was done in three minutes, and i saw myself having wasted my precious morning. i could have slept! i could have eaten breakfast! i could have watched tv! i could have done all three! seriously, they could just have the briefing for those present so that we dont have to make a second trip!
good thing i met a couple of friends to kill 2 hours with before i had to go to the airport. had lunch..and made a new friend too! so that was good...
until the airport. right, supposed to go to the airport to work. reached there at half past one, meet the guy and get my pass. only....didn't get my pass! the police did not have my records! and my boss like issued it a week ago already! so basically, i couldnt get in. boss told me to wait while he settled the pass. so i waited at macs...
And waited....
Waited....
Did more waiting....
And waited some more.
Till it was basically close to five pm. hmph. no, not all that pleased. i waited long enough to even finish off a book! yes that long! ok, so it was a thin book, but still!
and the worse thing was that i rescheduled tuition so i could go for my first day at work. brilliant! i felt so guilty for doing that!
thing is, i dont mind shuttling to the east west north south...as long as i'm doing something or have accomplished something. in fact, i kinda like packing up my days and moving about! end of the day, i feel like i've done a lot! so today, i felt my day was completely gone cos i did nothing. nope nadaa nyet.
i may sound pissed off now (oh believe me i am) but i never did blow my cool at the moment ("Oh it's okay...no problem") sometimes i just want to scream!!! and then i cant. go figure.

- You carry a toothbrush in your backpack
- You confuse sunrise with sunset
- The alarm clock tells you when to go to sleep
- You strangle your roommate because he said he stayed up late studying
- You're not ashamed of drooling in class anymore, especially in the Structures lesson
- You know what UHU tastes like
- Breakfast is your 5th meal of the day
- The idea that you have a room to live in outside the studio is a myth
- You hear "Didn't you wear that yesterday?" followed by "and the day before that?"
- Your roommate files a 'Missing Person Report'
- Someone asks you for your phone number and you give them the studio's
- You draw perspectives of your friend's room on your Japanese homework just for the fun of it
- Whenever you finish a project and don't have any studio work to do, you are constantly wondering why you aren't in the studio working.
- You buy tracing paper in mass quantities
- You understand what 4B, 2B, b, HB, H, 2H and 4H means and have lots of each type
- Your idea of splurging on yourself is buying another circle template (or any other template)
- YOU ALWAYS WRITE IN CAPITAL LETTERS
- You put a scale under everything you draw so that people know how big it is
- The biggest decision you have to make near the end of the term is "autocad, viz, pencil or ink?"
- You start replacing pictures of your friends and family with pictures of buildings
- Watching the sun rise means you haven't gotten to bed yet
- You never have enough wall space to pin things up
- You no longer leave studio to sleep, you just crash on the couch
- You always have a supply of portable and non perishable food
- You can go days without sunlight (You go to class in the dark, you come home in the dark)
- Midnight is considered early evening
- Push pins becomes a valuable commodity
- On Halloween, you trick-or-treat in studio to get arch supplies or 'red Bull'
i found it quite hilarious. of course, when i'm doing it, it wont be as funny after all! hehe...ah wells. big picture! it'll be worth it! i hope...
i'm going to miss arts like crazy! seriously, 2005 was when i was freshman, when i made friends, when i experienced stuff. damn...u sometimes wonder if you made the right decision.... well, i'll be over arts often i guess! hahaha...and if i cant come over, you guys damn better well pop over to aki to say hi! another chapter begins. so dejavu....
