The Not-So-Random Postforensic science lecture yesterday, was again, sooo interesting and fun! they actually invited a high court judge to come and speak with us! i was pretty excited! and for the first time, WE get to ask the questions! wow! and i must say, the judge wasn't what i'd expect. instead of some old, stern don't-mess-with-me man, chief justice tay was in fact one DAMN cool dude(no other words to express it! haha) !
he's funny, calm, damn intelligent, compassionate...he deserves his own fan club!
so what i learnt from him? a question asked by the module coordinator...with all seriousness...
prof wong: "will a monkey be charged for murder had the monkey electrocuted the victim?"
the answer is: no.
haha
prof wong is another quirky funny character. and i love my quirky characters!

building the mailbox has been absolutely draining. but but but, i realised that if i couldn't be an architect, i wanna be a carpenter! (no no...not the singing group you doofus!) but a real carpenter! what fun! cutting, slicing, shaping wood! knocking them together. i found a new toy. it's called a ben-saw. well, the mini ben-saw. and i love it i can control the machine. you know...*ahem* makes me all powerful and all *cough cough*. hehe who says only boys get to play with the big toys eh? ;)
---
i believe i am not random! much to most people's disagreement with that statement. but i'm not! and here is where i will defend myself against the label of randomness...
so during one of the many late night conversations we have in studio last night, my friends thought that i was very random in conversation.
there we were, 3 of us, around a table. and i was eating my cup noodles. so the convo started... and let me draw the links...
me eating cup noodles ---> me thought about cup noodles and the maker ---> me told the other two that the inventor of cup noodles, mr. nissin recently passed away ---> friend 1 accuses me of me making random statement, which i denied of course ---> then i thought about death because of mr. nissin ---> then, i thought back about the forensic science earlier, u know, death ---> then thought about the monkey question and dna and stuff ---> so asked friend 1 if animals have dna too (yes yes i know its a stupid question!) ---> and friend 1 explained the whole chromosome thingy... ---> then he explained about how we can't breed with primates or or ancestors (don't ask me how breeding got into the picture.) ---> then i thought about cavemen. u know, ancestors and all ---> then i thought what kind of lives cavemen must have led. ugh. what with no showers and all! ---> then i said that i thought we live in a wonderful time---> here where friend 2 accusses me of random statement "i know what you mean by randomness" she says to friend 1 and they laughed. ne-ver-mind ---> then i argued, well yeah! cavemen time is horrible. how the men would clobber the girl they like and drag them by the hair ---> friend 1 asked how i knew that ---> i said, well duh! it's a well known story ---> then friend 2 says i've been reading too much comics ---> i say no, watching too much cartoons ---> then i suddenly thought of mutant ninja turtles movie is coming out! ---> so i told them --->again another accusation of randomness...which by now you all have realised that it is NOT random at all ---> and friend 1 said how he'd rather watch the simpsons movie ---> i said me too! ---> and i thought about homer simpson. and nat's question on whether homer simpson was depicted after the famous character of The Odyssey ---> and so i repeated that same question.
and then they laughed. saying it was too random and there was no link.
There IS a link!
which you all have seen. and i said i would draw up the chart of links! and so there!
and they said they couldn't see the links prob cos they're all to sleepy and tired.
sigh...never try to have a logical conversation with tired architect students. haha
but it was fun!

well, was planning to go to studio today but had a random call from somebody (clue: she is small, cute, adorable and loves to eat nuts and climb trees) that pretty much delayed me going out to school. so thought will work at home anyway...WHICH I WILL!! *ok, this shoutout is for myself really...not to anyone else! dont get scared!*
and with that determination intact, i will scoot off now to make my model! ta!

Poetic Licence to Bitchback at home and completely shagged. it's been a pretty long day and i'm spent.
having survived on only 2 hrs of sleep last night, i am wondering if i should stay up and continue my work. frankly, i'm not sure if i can trust myself with a penknife at the moment. i happen to like my ten fingers by the way. gwarrght! so much to do, so little time to do it all! and i feel guilty whenever i feel like i wanna sleep. why cant my internal alarm clock be more efficient?? how how how? my brain feels like mush now...
speaking of our little human body parts (like forensic science, like dat arh?), some of my studio mates were much amazed at the "smallness" of my feet. ok. honestly, how is size 5 small? like, isn't that almost the norm? and i'm not exactly tall. so it's NORMAL! or not. what do i know? but not the first time i get such a comment! haha i also happen to have small fingernails. pity. if they were bigger, i might scratch better! hehe well, maybe i found the reason behind my falling all over the place in the past! haha
and due to yoga yesterday and lack of stretching, my right arm is sore-ing. great. lucky the right arm sia. but it wont deter me from trying yoga again. it was actually pretty good!
i actually managed to catch tempestatous beasts at UCC today! like wow! my first ever attendance to one of these nus arts festival thingy they have every year. anyway, tempestatous beasts is a literary poetry reading, featuring 4 local poets. so, caught it because my one and only alfian saat was there as one of the poets. whippee!!
but i must say, i was rather disappointed with the whole thing. it didnt exactly meet up to my expectations i guess! in my mind, tempestatous beasts, judging from the title alone, would be a passionate angsty emotional angry sarcastic literary reading. but instead...haiz. i'm not sure how to describe it. let's just say the feelings wasn't there, lah. it was tame. or as cyril wong has rightfully observed, the evening seemed dedicated to "gay poetry". haha which is true. nothing wrong with that. but seriously, not one who who appreciates "william-blakish"-like poetry with love and all (gawd no!) unless it's edgy. though some imagery used were pretty good.
but dammit! i needed some angst! some sarcasm! some indifference. something negative. oh yeah. now you know my taste of poetry. hehe
and alfian baby, as much as i like you, i didn't feel much today. the prose was wonderful! but sadly i read it before. :( but pooja nansi was good! short succint poems and read with great passion. nice!
and that guy lee-sheng just annoyed me. what's up with the cape?? a little too much. my mood couldnt take it today.
but despite it all, had a great time today! thanks iskandar!! it was great fun hanging out with you and bitching about...well everything! haha... and i'm still laughing from ur classic ugly betty moment of walking into the door! fwahaha... wait must tell nurul! *evil grin* haha
last but not least before i end this post off, a rant on human behaviour. why do people behave the way they behave? and why do people respond to other people's behaviour the way they respond? and why is it bloody difficult to acknowledge someone else's presence even though you have seen, maybe even talked to him/her? why is it hard to say hi to another person? why is it hard to smile to another person? why is it hard to be a little bit friendly? what's with all the feigned amnesia and hostility??
and more importantly, why do i, as i rant this out, do the same too? (duh. i'm not that blind) it's a common problem.
what goes around comes around. *shrugs* i'm too tired to care at the moment. if i'm a bit hissy or hostile towards you all in the next couple of weeks, understand its submission week.
god. it's submission week.
sigh.

PointlessAaah.
stupid stupid thing to have done, really. a mistake that could have been avoided but didn't. cos usually i'm very careful about these things. very careful. i wonder what telah happened. twilight zone paid me a visit again?
this is how i celebrate the return of my computer...by miscalculating and fixing myself into an embarrassing situation. bagus. oh wells. hopefully it didn't turn out bad! maybe nothing happened! maybe i'm overreacting! :D
anywaaays... its that time again when we're all pretty much swamped with work, work and nothing less than work. like freeaaak. ok, so at least this sem is slightly better, despite the heavier workload (6bloody panels + models!!! 2 perspectives! *die*) i'm getting used to it! what's worse..i'm actually having fun at it! :D but wait till i start drawing those perspectives sia...
you know...talking to su today made me realise how much i miss debates. like a full-college debate. like when did i last did that?? gawd! ages ago man. ok, so don't tell me to watch the arena. cos i havent. it happens that tuition falls exactly at the time arena starts. ah well. i remember watching world debates when they came to singapore. i must have been what? 14? 15? and watching it in my sis's school. so fun! i think debates are fun! let's have a debate! pick an issue and argue! be all witty and sarcastic and entertaining! funness! :D
i miss my cousins! like really! i havent seen them in ages! what with school and all. and one of them is in dubai. like far. and i realsied how much she's grown. sooo..i remember her when she was a kid no more that 6. and now she's a teenager, catching up with me! and i keep forgetting that! so i shouldn't be surprised. see, this is why i'm the youngest and not the oldest! growing young kids scare me! haha
this post has absolutely no point whatsoever. :D

and then now, when once i had many things to say, have now nothing to say.
oh yes. too too many work and assignments and projects. *gulp* :(
